I’m going to tell you how to get ripped in 12 weeks, and how you get those 6-pack abs in half the time!

Well I hate to disappoint but that’s not what I’m here for. I’m not going to confirm the misinformation provided by so many gurus and influencers in the fitness industry.

I’m a pretty straight to the point kind of guy, I’m not going to baffle you with bull**** and stroke your ego. It’s just not my way. What is my way is to take you on a journey to help you improve, to help you become healthier and fitter. No quick fixes. No short term gains for long term problems. I’m in this for the long haul and you should be to. Why get fit for a summer? You should be looking to get fit for life!

So with that let me tell you a little about myself. What made the man (I use that term loosely) I am today.

My background, work wise is very different from what I do now but from a very young age I’ve always participated in sport. From swimming, running, football, and rugby. I’ve always been a competitor; it’s something I’ve always enjoyed. Back when I was around 14 years old, I was a very competitive national standard swimmer. It was all I wanted to do, forget about school, I just wanted to swim. I wanted to represent my country. I wanted to go to the Olympics. Unfortunately I didn’t. A crippling knee injury put paid to those dreams, and sport in general for quite some time. It was at this point, like most stroppy teenagers I went off the rails for a few years. My schoolwork went to pot, but I managed to get myself into college, where I studied Graphic Design. 2 Years later I passed my course and shortly afterwards started my first job as a Junior Graphic Designer. I think I had just turned 18. I worked my way up the corporate ladder, holding out for that gold watch and retirement plan. Until one day I was reading a magazine and saw an advert promoting a Sports Psychology Diploma. Almost instantly I signed up. Why? I honestly have no idea. It was a spur of the moment deal. But it was one of the best decisions of my life. As that eventually lead me to leaving the corporate world and paving my own road on the fitness path, learning new things, taking on new challenges, and rekindling my love for fitness and sport.

Back in 2007 I made the leap to become a full-time self employed Personal Trainer. It was scary. I took a crazy drop in salary. I even had to get rid of my beloved sports car. I had to make a lot of sacrifices. It was a huge gamble. But you know what? It was worth it. The long hours. The worrying about where the next client was coming from. But now, I’m living the dream. I have no one to answer to, apart from myself, and of course the better looking other half. I have a great life. I’m fit and I’m healthy. I’ve had the opportunity to travel all over the world to study, and to train with some of the best athletes and coaches around. This has enabled me to pass on this knowledge to help others.

Fitness has become my passion, and I now get to help people every single damn day. Apart from Sunday. I have to have at least one day off!

When I’m not in the gym working or training, you will likely find me out in the countryside hurtling down trails on my mountain bike. Where ever you see me I’m usually not far away from a coffee. You can also find me on all the usual social media platforms; FacebookTwitterInstagram and YouTube. Feel free to show me some love and give me a follow.

Hopefully I will see you around. One day we may even meet, and if I can inspire you to be the best version of you that you can be. Well, that would be awesome!
