Ronan Wilcox first came to me in 2013 as a 14yr old. He was interested in kettlebell training and learning about Kettlebell Sport. He became the first junior athlete at Manchester Kettlebell Club. Here is what he has to say.
I have known and trained with Steve for coming up on 2 years and during that time he has been hugely beneficial in my development as an athlete. He helped me to win my very first Kettlebell Sport Competition, where I won Gold and also became the British Junior Long Cycle Champion in 2014.
When I initially began training with Steve I did have my slight trepidations about such a thing, as going into a new environment is always slightly nerve wracking and as a junior joining in with a group of adults I was slightly skeptical of the whole idea. However Steve was brilliant in terms of helping me integrate, catering to my needs and abilities as well as just generally making sure that I was comfortable.
I have gained a huge amount working with Steve not only in terms of my knowledge but also my resolve. I am sure that Steve will testify (if asked) that I am not always the most motivated to train, or to give everything that I can all the time, but there is never a session where he doesn’t push me to do better than I thought I could, and that is not always an easy task.
He will cater to your needs and wishes and will consistently produce top notch programming to further you in the pursuit of your goal.
If you are looking for a trainer I can think of very few better than Steve.
